Privacy notice
How this website collects, uses and protects personal information.

About this notice. This privacy notice explains how personal information is handled when you use this website. It was prepared by CraftConnect SA as a drafting service for the firm's review and approval. It is not legal advice. If you need legal certainty about your obligations, please consult a suitably qualified advisor.

What we collect
- Contact form. When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number and your message. Your enquiry is emailed to us and a copy is held on the website's server as a safeguard against email failure, so that an enquiry can never be lost in transit. That copy is deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our server automatically records technical information including your IP address, browser user agent and the date and time of your request.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit only to respond to your enquiry and to communicate with you about it. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share it with anyone else. You give it to us because you are asking us to contact you, and that request is the reason we process it.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to us working together, we delete it after 30 days. Our server logs are kept for the same period.
If you become a client, your correspondence with us is kept for as long as you are a client, in line with our normal record-keeping policy and the retention periods our profession and the law require of us.
Who else receives your information
This website uses no analytics, no tracking and no advertising services. We do not measure your visit, we do not record what you do on the page, and we do not build a profile of you.
One third party service is used, on one page only:
- Google Maps. The contact page embeds a Google Map showing our office location. Loading that map means Google may receive your IP address and technical information about your device. No other page loads it.
How your enquiry is sent to us
Contact form submissions are emailed to us from the same server that hosts this website, straight to our mailbox.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own. Opening the map on our contact page may cause Google to set its own cookies, which is outside our control and is described in Google's own privacy terms.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to its processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Our PAIA manual is available here.
